that would actually have the packers list a fat price daily.Fat cattle sales should be reported so everyone can see just like live feeder sales.

Absolutely there is one organisation - the NFU.
From their cattle policy document - "solutions #1: Ban packer ownership and control of cattle, and require that all cattle go through independent auctions or be sold by fixed-price contracts with full disclosure of terms"

GF.maybe it will take a group like NFU to make the grassroute producers understand without competition at the top.The chance of success is miminal.The only reason some of us are still in this business is the success of the generation before us when there were profits at the cow-calf level.
