Wish the media would quit reporting on cash advance program for winter wheat as if it's a good thing.Winter wheat producers have told the board time and time again that they want early delivery opportunities for winter wheat. The boards response has been to offer early contract calls but not back it up with sales which only teed off elevator managers with tied up bin space.Now they want to offer cash advance as solution. This does not address delivery opportunities off the combine and freeing up bin space. So the CWB is basically telling you to grow the crop but we don't want to give you anything for it and we want you to store it for the balance of the crop year or until we have looked after our priorities( HRS wheat and Durum).The CWB tells us what a good job they are doing and how much effort they have put into the minor wheat crops. Reality is that your file remains on the bottom of the desk. Too bad wheat marketing isn't like baseball. We would have dumped the manager a long time ago.

sorry bucket. I just lumped larger acreage crops together. Reality is the board's agenda seldom mirrors that of individual farmers.
