Jeff N. why dont you monitor individual sales. I understand they are available to all directors at board meetings.

Mr. Hill hahahahaha What has he done to deserve that type of respect Jeff?? His name is Larry... Thats right hold your thumb and index finger in front of your head... I have known this socialist for many years and between what he inherited and what he receives for renumeration at the board I'm sure he can tell us all how to be successful business people.. The man isn't even in the same league when it comes to the average businessman.. Oh I forgot the CWB will pay for him to become educated whilst the rest of us morons mine the salt. Pathetic...

          Jeff

The only sales targets there should be at the cwb are ones that make farmers money.IF the people at the cwb believe selling below the pro is a moneymaker - ask them to take an proportional pay cut along with it. AND add Ian WHite in for a paycut as well. If he thinks his team is doing an adequate job on the carry over of durum he should be willing to drop his pay accordingly.

These salespeople earning 60 grand a year are costing my farm more than that on every lousy sale. They get to keep there lifestyle, homes, benefits etc. while I have to go get an off farm job to pay for inputs and machinery and talk to the banker about a stategy to keep going. ANd part of that money goes to pay their outrageous salaries. Funny in the spring the cwb's pro said we should be making money this year. Start firing some of these jerk-offs - maybe then they will get real meaning of sales targets. You are making excuses for them.

I have to repeat this for impact: "Western Canada - the only democratic area in the world where you don’t know what your personal property is bartered for.

And This "This is one of the few times, the price has not shown up on wire services." Wonder why?

Both realites of farmers in the west
we should have a right to know this. It is that accountable thing..the only secrets are from the farmers the world of wheat trade knows the full story.

I asked a director once if they reviewed sales and his response was: that was what they had salesman for, (sadly he was an appointed member) a directors job was not to review sales...I disagreed and he adamently said they had more important things to do ???

Yet in a tough wheat market we may well be thankful to sell 4.00$ wheat by the end of this year. However today I expect if wheat were traded privately 4.00$ wheat would sit in the bin for a while, kind of like $4.00 peas are.

Bucket 400 employees, I expect your marketing folk would be paid well in excess of 60 grand and may not list all the gratuities they receive.

Had a buyer of wheat call us looking for wheat, we sent them to the CWB for wheat. The CWB directed them to the accredited exporters highly recommending Viterra.

I was called back today, they are now looking to the Ukraine for wheat due to low or no response from Canada.

                    Is this normal Jeff?

I suppose there is not one of the 400 CWB employees who have time to work with such leads. Just in case they may turn out to be a waste of their precious time.

Like I said at the beginning of the thread hopefully the Board bought Minniapolis futures the the same time as the sale. If they did the sale looks better every day. I guess we will have to watch this years financials for gains Or losses from the Risk Managament Department to know. Can you imagine the explaining that will have to be done if they lose a bunch of money on the Risk Management side as well as selling for these shitty values..... Oh boy!
