MBNA offered me 2.9 percent ballance transfer on my mbna master card which I never use but I have a 20,000 credit limit on it. So I declined. They asked me why and was it because the interest was too high? I said yes. The guy asked how about 2? I declined. He asked what I would accept. I said 1. He said OK. I asked is there a transfer fee? He said yes, 2 percent. I said that is too high. He said 1. I said too high. He said .5. I said too high. He said .25 , I hung up.
I have used this before to success but hung up because I hate logging it into my books. But why are these companies offering this low interest rate to people that they will never make the money back on. Perhaps I could have got the 0 transfer fee, I am stupid.
