    durum acceptance

Does anyone have a feel for what the cwb will accept for durum on the A series contract?

I want to make sure I get 100% of my durum in this year. Knowing before Oct 31 means I can overcontract the right amount to have 100% delivered.

    Watch out!

They have checked inventories in the past!

Right BUT with grainflo and some farmers being able to deliver 100%. Why would I , as a western canadian farmer, be discriminated against on delivery.

Hasn't that been the cwb mantra for 60 some years.

Equal delivery, equal price, equal opportunity.

        That's excellent advise Tom.

What I do remember of bin checkers from 20 years back is that climbing bins to verify content gets old pretty fast when you can send them up, or into a couple of hundred.

I also recall I was required to provide the ladder, hold the ladder, and generally waste a day until he tired out.

The cutest thing was that I had wheat stored in an old hip roof barn. The stall boards were not removed, and the barn was not interior lined. It was well wired and cabled, so as not to collapsed. After his calculating off the volume displacement of the wall studs and stall boards, he insisted that I enter the barn and level off the grain pile for his calculation. Like that was going to happen!

If you're caught short on your durum, bucket, send him here. I could spin his crank hard enough to give him a heart attack!!!!

I would check with a lawyer before providing a ladder or help. They should have fall arrest equipment and training. AFSC had an adjuster have a fatal heart attack before or during falling off a bin about 6 years ago. No legal issues that time but I am glad it wasn't my place.

Ron is correct here.. They should not be climbing anything without fall arrest protection and training, high angle recue training etc.. This is big problem for them LOL... No worries bout anyone measuring my bins LMAO... hahahaha, and theres nothing they can do about it.. Great angle Ron..

                I'll guess 60% as well.
We were checked last year by Sask crop insurance,(oh the benefits of being a WCWGA director) They asked about driving around with them, it never happened.

Have fun with them bucket, crank them hard
