          Observation is that North American consumers want healthier oils in terms of both trans fats and saturated fats. An ideal world would see lower fat levels in diets but the world is not perfect.

          Parsley - Do you think the consumer is wrong?

                The breeding for specialty oil canola (low trans fat) was not done by Monsanto - others here will have more knowledge of history than I do. Dow/Nexera and Cargill/Intermountain. Also were not herbicide tolerant when first released. That was added later to be competitive with conventional canola.
