There seem to be lots of translation issues with Chinese on the canola issue. Think that they are actually concerned with blackleg or is it clubroot? They are worried about transmission through dirt and seed. My understanding is the translation was for a "foot disease" and that could be clubroot.
This is somewhat new to Canada and other countries probably don't want to get it until resistant varieties become more common.
This is probably much more likely than the blackleg interpretation which has been around for years and years.
