What does it take to get someone or some country to not be so diligent. If it is not clear what the industry rules are to gain access to markets; it makes me wonder why anyone would strongly support the current "democratic" system of government; or the "free market" systems that most citizens and business people can apparently beoppressed by.

95% of trade works pretty good. People here complain when Canada gives up its sovereignty so why be surprised when other countries want to play by their rules as well. People here complain about the WTO which tries to put in a set of rules for everyone to follow. We're just as two faced as other countries when it comes to trade. What's the better alternative.....socialism around the world/protectionism to an extreme/undemocratic governments?

Two or four year dictatorships; everyone playing by their own rules; most people either sitting on the fence, tuned out or protecting their own interests (usually at the expense of others). I guess most people really have not earned the right to lecture those who live under any other system.
