I agree the board has never earned us Canadian (Western Canadian) farmers a premium. Its a bold face lie that they ever have. But a small group of farmers keeps this useless organization going. Please please stop the nonsense already and can we please kill this cat. Put it out of its misery once and for all. The world will not stop if the CWB is gone. Simply Harper should open up the books have some one do a study and see if it ever made us a profit. Then a simple vote yea or NEH. Simple

This thing has been studied to death. Harper should just order the board to give us no buyback export licenses and be done with it. People can vote with their trucks and their deliveries.

The CWB would love another 2... 3....4... year study to divert from the mess they are in and then a producer vote. Have you not been following? The Courts have ruled that farmers don't control the CWB.

As well, there is nothing an internal study of the CWB's operations could do. There is only one number that counts, and that is the amount that the producer receives. All the internal complexities in the CWB system is irrevevant. That is the one number the CWB can't ever hide, but obviously it is not important to their supporters. They have shown that election after election. CWB supporters can't control how you farm or how much land you farm, but they do have some control over how you sell, and they are not going to give that up, even if means less for themselves.

Ontario farmers don't care about the CWB, even though they are equally covered by the "monopoly" part of the CWB Act. However, if they want to export their grain, the CWB simply issues them an export licence. Why would the same not be good enough for Prairie farmers?
