    Genserve test Lab in Saskatoon

    Parsley,

YOU Are NOT surprised... are you?

Unintended consequences abound... where ever government regulation is found!

Which is why global 'warming' is so disruptive to the global market based economy. Combined with Chinese monatary and economic policies.

So... tHe market economy is now extinct. The first real and measurable casualty of global warming!

Re-read what you wrote, pace three steps forward, pace three steps backwards, whistle once, then climb into bed and hope your 'reason' go- switch resets at 6:66 AM. Pars

I read most of the report above; and it is obvious that the possibility of obvious adverse effects was overlooked. It is next to impossible to spread to other organisms; so they say; but they forgot that any form of mixing of Triffid with any other flax or any other seeds will surely result in Triffid offspring contaminating any crop it is grown with. And we continue to put faith in those same poor simple bastards.
If that word causes harm or offence to any of those involved; please consider the measurable harm they have caused to farmers; and the complete lack of any sign of repentence.

            It was hard slugging.

But I guess when you ask the question:
What happens when you have 300 varieties of GM wheat...all with different characteristics @gene insertion/modification, maybe 10 different chemicals, after all there will be new ones...Grunt....Bicep.....Woody.....Baboon....., well you know the flavors...

And they will cross. Unless of course, they decide it is just too mauch even for the GM experts...so they slap in the Terminator gene.

So now this morning a researcher says its essential to have an 800 meter buffer strip between GM and non-GMO crops of all kinds. Kinda unworkable; after all 800 meters is a whole quarter section. Its easy to coordinate with neighbors and even organic farmers; we all know that.. Guess a part of this GM fad is huge blocks of land so you can even grow it.
When this requirement catches on; and the industry should demand it when it is afterall essential; then it will be the biggest liability for ordinary farmers.

By the way; was this 800 meter buffer zone used by all previous research plots and field trials.

There is already a little bit of everthing in anything. Anonymous

Farmers aren't speaking up like they should be. Then its easy for others (industry) to speak for you. Until thousands of farmers get involved; we will get a lot more of the same. Ball is in your court.
