These are just numbers any 6 year old could make up. The values are actually higher than the current PRO's for 2009 (Jan 28,2010 has HRS#3 @ 189/tonne and CPS #1 @ 190/tonne).
Make a chart of the PRO's for 2009/10 and decide how accurate the numbers are. Hopefully they dont drop $15/tonne or more over the year.

Larry your comparing CWB pros for 09 10 of one year ago to CWB pros for 10 11 of today. For example the CWRS price for 09 10 is currently 1.28 dollars per bushel lower today than it was one year ago.

I just copied the table from the CWB website. They have year ago comparisons.

Takes the cwb to make such a dumb comparison. Why they wouldn't include the current PRO is beyond me.

Take another look, guys. 2010-11 CWB PRO prices are 19 to 33% lower than latest PRO for 2009-10. This is a price crash whether the figures are accurate or not. USDA predicts wheat prices to stay even for 10-11. CWB lowered PRO prices in 9 of 12 reports issued so frar for 2009-10.

                Agriman,

AGAIN... this is all about 'optics' and PPO 'cash' prices...

That PPO pricing has anything to do with pooling is fool hardy.

Until the CWB allows me to lock in the pool price... this is just a farce anyway... just like feed barley pool way below the non-board cash... then no way to even lock that in...

Then the fudge factor... how much will the CWB add back to the feed barley pool... from interest... or will that go to the Contingency fund?

THis market is not a market... it is a bad joke... no transparency... how this can comply with WTO and NAFTA is beyond me.

The first round of fixed price and basis levels are also
out. Basis are stronger than what has been over the
initial announcement over the past couple of years.

Agriman your comparing to year ago pros, and it is not a price crash but more like a steady downtrend if you take into each month of pros in between. If you compare current pros for one year to next you will not get much difference, just a little bit down.

                          Charlie,

Does the CWB think they can get away with taking the discount...(between FPC and Pool prices) and then adding it that to the pool profits... at the expense of the fixed price producer... without us noticing?

How stupid do they think we are?

IF the CWB has no 10-11 sales on the books... then the PRO and FPC prices should be equal... if there is no cross subsidisation of the Pool from the FPC.
