    10,000 tonnes of heated canola.

Last week started a new bin of canola and discovered some heated. Not
until I reached the line company though. Quickly determined their
offer of 200 bucks a tonne off wasn't acceptable. Phoned the crusher
as I had to sell some heated stuff last year to them and knew they were
much more accommodating with heated canola. Was told thanks for
calling and will put you on the list. Probably no delivery until june
as we already have 10,000 tonnes too chew through ahead of you. I said
wow! I knew that there was going to be some bad canola but not that
much! Heres a little heads up to check your bins again and if you have
heated canola too get it marketed somewhere before the crushers can't
    take anymore of it.

Were you gone all winter? There has been a flood of heated canola since Dec.

No I was around, though I was smrt and because the canola was in
an air bin and I had cables on it I would be all right. Turns out
      I am not so smrt

        Good heads up grg

I have also seen alot of wht coming out of bags down graded for severly mildewed and rotted kernals. If you have some bad grain in the bottem don't load it with the rest. 1k per 1000 g will down grade.

Yes it was tough and also higher green seed count and I knew it...
But thought I could keep it with aeration. Should of ran the fan
just a little bit sooner last nov/dec and froze it instead of just
watching the opi's. The other bin of the same stuff is fine still
tough but stayed froze all winter and am now aerating to dry it
down/keep it from warming up now as the weather warms up. I am sick
a tired of having heated canola. Two years in a row. Should be an
expert on the stuff by now. Probably can put most of the blame
though on the variety as it was the same both years. Another
variety has not had the same problem two years in a row. Guess
thats why it is not being seeded this year.

Nice. FYI, first canola of the year that I know of was planted in Eastern Ontario yesterday. Seems plenty early to me.

Wtch the grading of your canola this year. Sometimes when canola sits out as long as they did this fall it will turn a very dark yellow. This is not damage but I know grain buyers will try to call it damaged.
