China claims to have found a fungus that causes blackleg in a canola shipment. Hm I thought they weren't buying Yea what a crock. Then Seems they still don't want our canola. Hm Yea for acreage this really works well for that mega crop the Canola growers are looking for. NO ONE WANTS OUR PRODUCT. Welcome to 2010 grain marketing. ITS ALL ABOUT POLITICS, Hm wounder why the US AND EUROPE SUBSIDISE their farmers because they know grain marketing is 80% politics and 20% demand. Even if a country is starving they still say they have lots.
So probably June now for canola. Yea then that will be July so you hold till Sept then new crop is here that some wanted and guess what news release Canada has HUGE CROP plus carry over and WHAM the price drops and drops and drops.

The Flax GMO, needles in Canadian Pork, Blackleg in Canola etc etc etc The damn brokers in China and Europe can claim anything they want to. They know that once the produce is there, that we can't afford to get it back. I say we test it here in Canada, and its theirs as soon as the seal is on the container.

What about all the crap merchandise we get here in Canada from China..... wake up people, they just want a deal....... nothing more, and theres no more margin to give.!

There are all kinds of margins left to give! I heard it again this morning. Take out the abnormal year, or part year in the 2000-2009 and we are getting the high end of payments for our grains. When you have lemons, make lemonade! Also tear out the fencelines in order to plant those extra acres, so we can build on those surpluses.

Tomorrow another Grain company rep is coming out to the farm to convince me to spend more on inputs for the 2010 crop. Yeah That's a good one.
