    A couple of points:

    1. Rotation is a requirement by most certifying bodies, gregpet. Plowdowns are common. Rotation is practiced. Organic fertilizers are used. Composting is practiced.

    2. China? Tibet/Japan/ have been growing crops for centuries and continue to produce food.

But are organic crops nutritionally beneficial?

"Given the choice would anyone knowingly choose to eat GMO foods rather than organic"

I think that happens every day and most choose GMO/conventionally grown.

choose may be wrong word if they`re not marked.

To the average consumer GMO and conventional will not mean the same thing.

Organics are always clearly marked so choose is the right word.

GMO are not marked as such.

Would everyone choose organic food to eat and let 1/3 of the world population starve? That is not an opionion that is a mathematical fact.

                    Parsley,

The beauty of humanity is that we were created to have choice as the foundation of/for our existance.

Bless you for growing what you grow, and grow well!

Also blessing to/on those who think differently... and provide food at low cost for billions of people who might otherwise be very hungry and cranky!

Humanity is an amazing creation... I thank the creator for the wisdom to make us with a free spirit and so many with caring hearts!

i think organic farming has always been more of a food safety marketing strategy than a sustainability tool. you're still pulling a thousand or two thousand pounds per acre out of the soil. the nitrogen can be taken out of the air but other nutrients will be depleted.
