I take issue with that being a million dollar moisture event, unless you're referring to any possible wind damage that came with it. What it was, was the least expensive element of farming. The billion minus minus event comes next, from which the suppliers extract their pound of profit for the year. What part of the smiling faces crowd indicate where their shares are assured, the risk and hope part?

Farmers now have possibility of making a millon (maybe), but suppliers now will make billons.

I think the bright spot is Americans are planting less wheat. and the extra corn will get used in ethanol. Let it God dam rain. Some day the tap will be turned off and we may need it. We got 2.5 inches, more run off than from the snow melt.

Same here, the yard is all water, every pothole is water! What if it keeps raining with all the hoar frost? We will be screwed here! I was hoping for an early dryer spring also. We are sick of the cold and wet. That is what costs us the most. What a extreme difference in conditions in Sask! If you are dry and praying for rain, please be very specific as to where you want it to fall. Your prayers are being answered where it is too wet.

Glad too see all the moisture in eastern Alberta and western Sask.
Gotta feel good for those farmers.

fjlip do you feel like you live under a black black rain cloud? I
                  hate wet seeding conditions.

Supposed to get nicer later this week. Was looking forward o that rarest of occasions for this country, a late April start. Not going to happen anymore, that's for sure. Water running today is bringing back memories of 2006-07. We in this foresaken region can all remember what happened those years...

I sure wouldn't be opposed to some of this "rain" you speak of. Neighbours said 2 tenths. They put a full fire ban on in the county of Leduc today. Roads dusty already. Not worried about calving in the mud anyhow. Giggly weather girl happy as can be, good BBQ weather coming. She sure was happy we missed the storm.

Leduc, eh? You are in a wetter area to begin with hey? I have seen the maps showing the Edmonton area having poor precip. Tough when your used to getting rain. Well, you can have all the rain I send you, cuz we certainly don't need another mm until later in June. Good luck, and I hope you get some, and we get none for a while.
