parsley: So what does Johnny Reid have that I don't have? I have 17 days growth of whiskers and I can sing too.

You must like those gold earrings...oh well, I guess I could try them too if that's what it takes.

Neighbor came for dinner last night and emailed them to me following a discussion about Michael Buble.

I don't 'do' a lot of sorta-country pop, so I enjoyed them immensley.

I'm afraid wil, there isn't anyone in the world who would want to kill cutworms and woodticks with someone who essentially relates mostly to this:

Played football with Johnny in university. I was a year ahead of him, all the rookies had to take turns singing for the older players in the cafeteria at meal times. He was the first one I remember who didn't get razzed for his singing, think his first song was Motown, "Proud Mary" maybe. He was the first one who got called back up to sing because he was GOOD, not bad.
One of the funniest guys I've ever met, if he couldn't sing he'd make a living as a comedian.
Definitely the kind of guy most folks here would be comfortable hanging out with on the farm.

Thanks parsley for all the URLs. I have high-speed Internet and can download six videos at the same time as well as watch a video while downloading.

                    Kinda beats dial-up a bit.

I often strip the music, edit, and burn discs of the artists I like for later play on the road. Getting pretty good at it too.

Not music but lightens up my day. Sorry in advance for those that will be offended.

                        Banned from the co-op

Yesterday I was at my local CO-OP buying a large bag of Purina dog food for my loyal pet and was in the checkout
queue when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think I had an elephant? So, since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that
no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn’t, because I
ended up in hospital last time, but that I'd lost 2 stones before I woke up in intensive care with tubes coming out
of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pockets with Purina
nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well
and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in queue was now
                        enthralled with my story.)

Horrified, she asked me if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped
off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's arse and a car hit us both.

I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.

I'm now banned from the Co-op.
Better watch what you ask retired people.
They have all the time in the world to think of daft things to say.

Forward this (especially) to all your retired friends...... it will be their laugh for the day.

Parsley, I sang "The Joker" (Steve Miller Band).

Repeat performance was strongly "discouraged" and it was lost in history.
