Looks like the high for next two days (wed, Thur) will be plus 4. So nights clearing off with temp dropping. Now this morning the US networks are saying could be further south than first thought. A frost in Kansas will wipe out winter wheat crop if it hits Oklahoma wow. Could be lots of ramifications. But hey the CWB probably sold all our crop for $2.50 a bushel so why worry.

U.S. wheat futures rose yesterday on speculation that unusually cold weather may damage immature crops this week, after farmers planted the fewest acres of winter wheat since 1970, says a story from Bloomberg.
Temperatures may fall below freezing from Montana to Nebraska on May 7 with frost possible from Kansas to Wisconsin on May 8, said Allen Motew, a meteorologist for QT Weather in Chicago. U.S. Department of Agriculture data show that 27% of winter wheat was forming grain heads on May 2, making it susceptible to damage from cold weather.
“The market is fearful of freezing weather,” said Mike Zuzolo, the president of Global Commodity Analytics & Consulting in Lafayette, Indiana. “The weather has been erratic this year and traders do not want to risk holding short positions ahead of a possible freeze event.”
