    New crop red lentil contracts???

The new crop lentil contracts are dropping. I
contracting some yesterday so they are sure to go up
    again now.
With all the moisture is there much seeding going
    on anywhere?

Will seeding plans be changed if the moisture
    continues.

Most years by this time we are over 1/3 done
    seeding.
This year we are around 10% done and it does not
look like we will be seeding for some time and more
moisture in the forecast for next week.
It is sure better than the dust blowing but another
week of moisture will make it tough to get our
original seeding plans done and may have to make
    some changes.

was talking with a seed grower/cleaning plant buddy of mine yesterday. He says they cleaned lots of durum back in Nov Dec, but thinks there are lots of those guys that will be changing those acres...but what to? He also has 1000ac pencilled in, but figures he should pull at least half out...but doesn't know what to go to! If this wet weather continues, oats and barley will increase I would think, as well as canola maybe?? if you have oats going in and don't have any priced, now would be the time! Not too far below $2 at the bin for fall...not a bad place to start some pricing...

What kind of prices are you hearing out in Leader still doing .22 for a 2 or better laird here and .21 Reds. I certainly wouldnt chase it lower.

For reds there was some contracts a few days ago for 23 cents without act of God. That price has now dropped to 21 without act of god. With act of god the prices are anywhere from 19 to 21 cents per pound.
