    Rogator

Went to torque down the mud tires on the gator and stripped out the threads on 2 holes, tire guy must have stretched the threads last time.I am thinking of putting a helicoil thread insert in ,m22x1.5 is the thread .I tried all the supply stores I could think of,if anyone has any experience I could use a little help here. Oh Yea a new hub is $2300.

not much help here, i have one stripped one. was told by custom guy it was a problem with the constant changeovers .
    narrow to wide tires

fine thread too much torque, so i run narrow and it has never been a problem here.
about the only plus of being dry

I dont know much about sprayers, but in the old days, people would drill out the damaged threads and use a bigger grade 8 bolt and nut if possible. Actually a neighbor had to repair 3 back tires that way on his new Deere combines last year. Something about post delivery assembly, crossed threads and a long weekend.

I too would run in a new set of threads with a bigger bolt. It does sound like threads may have been crossed, a few extra turns with the fingers might save some money at the end of the day.

The threads are pretty much gone on 2 holes but I found a helicoil kit for it I figure i'll give that a try. only to be torqued to 460lbs but I think that was exceeded which was the cause. Thanks for the suggestions .

We had this happen on our Rogator too, just one hole, but man is that frustrating. We went the helicoil route and have had success. I think we had to drill it out slighlty ,then install the coil and it hasn't given trouble for two spray seasons.

Maybe you can you use a nut on the backside of the hub and a longer bolt.
