The first seeded canola is just breaking the surface tonight. Soil a little crusty. Seeded May 2nd-3rd.

2/10" and all is saturated again. Wadena will need an ark if it pours like this evening more times. I heard it's relating to the foggy frosty February to the day. That means rain all of May.

Hope the forcast is somewhat accurate and dries up for most of you guys. Warm drier days are baddly needed for everyone. Lucky or not, we have been on the edge of most of the heavy rains over the past two weeks. We have been just able to go at times, I hope we are not pushing the limit but there has been, and still is a lot of water all around us, so we figured we better "make hay" while we can. Things can change in a hurry.

June is also related to fog wet.

Don't have a guage out, don't know what it has rained today, don't really care, its gross out there. Really started to rain about half hour ago. Creek'll probably be running come morning.

For sale, land for 1600 an acre, suitable for wild rice, cranberry, willow, cattail, reed, muskrat, pike, duck, or the possibility to set up a noahs ark museum. Call me, please. Fed up already...

BTW, remember guys rain makes grain, so dontcha dare complain....

My volunteer canolas look like hell. No one ever made a volunteer canola crop did they? No don't think of it.

Any volunteer tried here was a mess. Another 1/10" overnite, earthworms are all on top of grass and gravel, they are drowning too. Getting wrap around clouds from Manitoba, the curse of E Sk! Forecast 19C tomorrow, then warmer all week, that I got to see.

We've been going hard west of NB, perfect conditions but no late nights on account of bunching stubble. Still had snow banks last night on my stuff south east of town and the gravel roads are nearly impassible in a half ton. I guess this year it pays to have land spread over 90 miles. Last years wheat seed is coming up in nice rows this year though.

Flip we just got another tenth this morning on some of my land. Currently water still running everywhere. I am going back out with the ditcher to open some places up we blocked harrowing through muddy ditches on the weekend. We did not need that downpour yesterday afternoon. Didn't have a rain gauge but some poeple talking 3/4 inch yesterday.
