We will hit the 26% completed amount tonight. Ha that's with out getting stuck again today. Found out a bourgault can float but the Deere sinks. Fun afternoon. But its wet in this area sprayed 6 quarters in area today for wheat in two days. Two really nice to seed and the rest have water all over the place. Running out of dry fields but were moving. Our area seems to be unique since all way back to the city tonight (parts run) only one guy going on this side of valley. West of Regina Young's parts guy said looks like Friday at earliest. North of us at Foam lake north not sure when.

0 done in my area. Plenty of harrowing and spraying going on. 6 inches of total rain this spring. Maybe a saturday start for most people. Unless I borrow the neighbours 11 foot seedrite and put her behind the 535, Still banging my head what crop can start with, looks like canola for dryness of fields then peas and wheat. Should be a June finish.

we will hit 40% done today. SE Sask, most guys around are in the same boat, but same old story - some guys finishing, some haven't started.
Moisture is good but not excessive yet, looks like we are finishing with canola, durum, peas, oats done. 4 quarters of canola next, then Lentils, then back to finish with canola.

peas are done, Durum done and HRS getting to half point. Read article in Alberta how early seeding gives best yields, Nice story to bad doesn't say what happens in Sask. Seems always the last field seeded gives the highest yield. Hm. Not saying the story is wrong but seems in North its whats seeded between the 16 and 24 that gives the highest yield. But hey maybe in dryer area it is, Use to say in SW Sask if not done by may 1st never get a crop so who knows.

Sprayed some, applied fertilizer. Very wet soil, sticky, slimy like snot in every dip in standing stubble. Many potholes, lots of ruts, wasting time and fuel. The wet lumps and ruts will bake into concrete, a very poor seed bed. Just a MESS when it's TOO WET! All fall tilled fields day and night better. Direct seeding into cereal stubble, impossible here for many days. Count your blessings if you are a touch dry.
