    frost

4 degrees at midnight clear as a bell and not s breath of wind. I'm afraid of what morning will bring. All the canola iS up. The last thing we need is two more weeks of seeding and 50% more seed cost. Well see what morning brings.

I don't know. Even the hawks beard was black this morning. It didn't even get below zero until almost 4.

Yeah, I thought about that, still am, I think I will stop thinking soon. And then they'll fill me up! Trouble is, probably I'll try the top dress later option, then it won't rain... Guys are going ballistic round here. The guys that need nh3 at least. If we were half done, or almost done is one thing, but the state the area is in is a bit of a fix with half the guys having done two days max, and many guys not yet started.

If you are addicted to NH3, you could apply 50% in the fall.

The important thing at this point is to get the seed in the ground and worry about feeding it later. Last year I busted the axle on the liquid buggy so I went ahead and seeded 3 1/4s of canola and topdressed after. It turned out just fine. The one positive for you is that if something happens to the crop due to excess moisture you can decide how much if any fert to apply.Good luck Dudebro.

Ag star my friend, I'm not addicted to nh3, I am set up for it on my seeder. As far as fall applyiing, I wish I had the financial means to do so, as well, I started combining on nov the 6th last year. We have got over an inch so far, rain started near noon.

guys, when does one throw in the towel? I'm just so sick of it.
