Is this a normal year for you? I always thought manitoba took a little longer to dry out.

It usually seems you (manitoba) seed into June.

You are right, last couple of years have been dry in our area. Of course tomorrow we could drown. It seems there is no in between. Traveling 20 miles south it is saturated , 20 miles east it is saturated.

As my dad used to say, "All this rain will grow is straw."

I agree and all our N is going down the f'ing drain past where the roots will need to be for moisture. Then if it's hot later with shallow roots the crop could be sh*t, even without frost! I'd bet on a reduced crop any way you cut the deck.

Should be finished planting our last field tomorrow here in East-Central Ontari-ari-ario. Earliest we've ever been done. Easily said, since it hasn't rained yet this spring. Nothing since snow in late March. Streams look like they do in August in a dry year. Well for the barns is sputtering.
