Especially in the east of sask where canola is seldom grown, and seeding is a third done, of total crops,. This is like saying florida orange supply will be burdensome because half the orange trees in florida won't produce this year.

boys for how long have I said its us against every one else. They all come out with BS nine out of ten times. They are good at convincing the speculators whats happening. Farmers know what the hell is going on. ITs not going to be wall to wall canola and if we loose seeding till monday acres will be dropping. Getting calls for Barley seed and Oats today. Also guy just dropped off 50 Bags of Liberty seed at Viagra and didnt take any short season canola home. Hm. Then throw in a couple of cool nights and Hm yea their really is 18 million acres. 18 million acres at, let's be generous 60%, and then account for drown out and that a pretty small canola crop.

I told my local agent I was losing 25% of my pea acres to wet/slough and he told me "no way".

My farm, my drill, and I do the seeding and he is telling me I am full of shit. The numbers don't add up on the current crop report.

The latest hurricane forecast calls for a record hurricane season. Why is this important you ask? Warm moist air from the gulf is fed to , you guessed it , the southern prairies. It use to be a 30% chance of rain for the forecast last year meant nothing. Now a 10% chance of rain means 100% chance of showers. And we only need a dew now and its too wet.

Even the other day the weather came exactly how they said. The rain started at the time they said it would.
