Weekend Rain

Total rain for last 3 days is 100 mm or 4 inches, lots of
places around me with many more inches. fields are
lakes, seeding in Red river is about 95% complete, not
sure if that was good now that field is under water for
three days. we need a good 8 days to get in field.
Canola is purple already under the water. Total rain
since snow is 10 inches. early wheat is still looking
good, canola will have big yield issues. Lots of
companies grabbing low commodity prices contracts
last week in my area

Red how big is the crop in your area? Heard some is quite big. If the water gets away in a few days might not be so bad. Up north here we didn't get as much but water is standing in places and ditches are running but if the sun shows it self it will help alot. Crops aren't that big yet still some to seed. Hopefully things dry out best of luck with the drainage.

Some crops 4 to 6 leaf, others just coming out of
ground. Canola varies a lot and soybean is just
emerging. Expect big damage on canola, cereals will
do better except for the stuff just coming out of
ground like oats.
