Crap Crap Crap. Looks like it might dry out and then Thursday we going to get hit again. 60% chance yeah that's a major rain event. Standing water where never was before the ground is saturated. Like 1996 All over again. Canola where was really wet got funny leaves tried to bolt and then produced one or two pods. Rest field was nice but never recovered. Add the one thing guys are forgetting if this drags on for June which historically is Western Canada's wet month. What then pure shit. So plan B or are we on plan D already.
Realistically 13 million acres are seeded. Take out 5% for flooding and never recover. Wow were at 12.3 not quite the 18 Calgary Putz. Now add in frost and Canada is out of the oil seed market. {Now take the CWB and our cereals probably gave away 60% at bargain basement prices. So whats left in bin will have to be liquidated next crop year. So no profit for farmers. Then take pulses, Yea the last year we seeded pulses it rained an rained and rained. Sold 1/2 at discount off contracted price since they were stained and gave the rest away for peanuts. Peas like water just not 1 inch on top of them for a few days.
So What looks good from a glass half full guys. Hows Manitoba doing or have they joined the rest of us after this last weekend.
