CWB Annual Producer Survey Released

Perhaps what I find most interesting is what the CWB chooses to release from the survey. Will note this time they chose to release age breakdown, breakdown by percent board sales and provincial breakdown of survey results.

Already highlighted, only 23 % of farmers (actually permit book holders) under 45 strongly supported the CWB (51 % if you include somewhat support). Of those older that 62 % strongly support (82 % if you include somewhat support). 50 % of farmers under 45 support an open for wheat.

Just read the boards "release" on their survey. Looks like they're burying their collective heads further in the sand.

It would be interesting to have the breakdown of survey information by farm size. The CWB used to provide a full breakdown of survey results but hasn't provided this for the past couple of years. You need to see the full breakdown of information to really understand the results.

Maybe they surveyed Paul Martin, former PM of canada, who through his investment in One Earth farms has an interest in farming. Never had when he was PM.

But now he has an interest not only in production but also ensuring his monopoly on shipping through the great lakes is maintained.

Ask the cwb sometime what the rates are and how they are set for CSL. Soon it will be like that for rates set for one earth direct to the cwb.
