    Another Agri-ville survey

In the last survey I posted what was seeded on our

7 inches of rain so far this year. Got to get going
and see if I can find a field dry enough to spray
they are calling for more rain this week.

South of Bow River from foothills to 40 miles east and south. 40% canola 10% peas 20% hrsw 25% barley, 5% drowned out, sloughs etc. 9 out of 10 for how it looks, color etc. Canola just popping out though so jury still out on it. Some canola has been reseeded due to frost.

Overall crop condition is very good for the area.(Sorry east central& N east sask) Spraying is very behind however and drying weather with less precip is needed for this to be accomplished.

Dave you would have a better idea than me for our area.

I forgot to factor in summer follow acres.

This year I would say it is less than 30 percent.

On a 10 year average I would say around 40 percent summerfollow.

I am actually kinda shocked now that the crop is up. Is there enough flex headers to harvest this crop? Think long term Durum was probaly 45%, SMF 45% and misc 10%. Heck, long term there was probaly more fall rye then lentils. Lentil acreage has finally increased south of the river comparable to north of the river. Lots of guys are 50% lentils (i am) and lots are 0. But would bet both peas and lentils would make about 30% and the other special crops are low. Durum seems to be back but hard to tell so far. Quite a bit of canola, or at least more then i expected to see, after the dust bowl last year, thought guys would just go with lentils. Even peas held their acres.

2 days of sun must have fried my brain.

First 2 sentences refer to lentils.
