Heard today that a person I know is managing something for them and it took them a whole day to change the depth on 2 60' SeedHawks and then another day to change the depth again. So everything must have gone fairly smooth ;-)

I think Bay Street and Wall Street are about to find out how crazy and risky farming can be.

When you consider ad hoc programs, you should consider something that does not help outfits like this. A flat acreage payment would be the biggest waste of cash . Prudent managers that have suffered through no fault of their own should be the target group. Opportunists taking on more land than they can handle in worst case scenario are not those you want to help. They are doomed in the long run. If this event does not get them, the next one will.

Paul Martin knows the ins and outs of farm aid.

He is investing because he knows he will get a return on his investment through support programs and he knows when and how much long before the rest of us. One earth may be milking these programs as they would be considered new or young farmers. That may be the return on investment that brings in more bay street money.

Do I think investors like that should be left to take the loss because they are not technically farmers? Yep.

But much like speculators they provide underlying support for our industry, like it or not. Right now its those guys that are driving up land prices. And if you are close to retirement age, they are your best friend.

            Double edged sword.

I think a few people need get up to speed on what
              pottasium is all about.

They are about to make more than all the kings of
              europe combined.

The fact you dont see it doesnt make it false.

                Cotton

That's probably true. But why are the natives so blind to the motives.

They could partner with a bhp, mosaic, potash corp and work both sides of the earth rather than be swindled out of it.

Then 100 years later be fixing the problem again because the natives were not treated fairly.

The guy that farmed land around kalium(now mosaic) had the company buying part of the inputs every year. They worked together.

I still don't get the connection between One Earth and Potash. The First Nations bands are sure as hell not going to give their potash rights away to some farming corp.

i kind of doubt the natives would sign leases giving away mineral rights. they have better legal advice than most people can afford.

One earth is on the outs with our reserves. Watch in next months for announcement on potash mine being built in Sask by natives with help of a tribe in USA.

The natives are smarter than the Bay street Canadian bunch.

Nobody wants bay street to strike out more than
                          me.

But ive been following these guys for over six
years-they have angles and are the type you dont
                          bet against.

What we know and what we dont know about the
                          situation are two different things.

Hey band council heres twenty million sign the ***
                          papers
