Before the degree of variation can be determined, it is fairly important to define what is considered "normal".

Is "normal" defined by decades? Centuries? Millennium?

boarderbloke, Whom do you suppose leaked the emails.(that were taken out of context)
There is ALOT of Money being spent over the last 15 years to discredit the climate change theory. Huge Money spent and you are dead wrong on the scientists that are not on board with this climate change theory.
We have screwed away 15 years Just Debating wether it is happening or not and the powers that be have kept us in this Limbo while we have done nothing to stop it. Don't be so gullible

This climate change discussion is really all about talk. The side that talks the loudest is always the side that is wrong.

Why can't both be content to look no more than one day out with the prediction that tomorrow's climate will be exactly the same as today's. Sure, you will miss the major changes, but your forecast will be highly accurate.

When mcfarms past becomes the norm, or when the continental glaciers return, the survivors are going to be wondering why they and their ancestors spent so much money on family burials whose bones will be spread over hundreds of miles.

Is it just me or do those that believe that CO2 is going to fry us all also tend to think it is ok to put their neighbors in jail for wanting to control their own farms?

As burnt says normal depends on how far back you go, and whose numbers you believe. Human psychology needs to have a reason for all situations. We are searching for someone to blame for this doomsday scenario. What if it's just chaos, random action in the atmosphere? Anyone read Krushner's book, "Why do Bad things happen to Good People?"

Al Gore is making a pile of money off this rising sea calamity while he builds a luxurious home in California. The biggest scam ever, his own ponzi scheme.

Gullible to believe CO2 has had any effect on weather. I think the weather is constantly changing and we have little effect on it.

The crimes/lies committed against the public by the Global Warming alarmists are too numerous to mention but the results of their actions are going to cost us millions just with the EPA and emission bs.

                  Some interesting info on Volcano's

Volcanism Volcanism is a process of conveying material from the crust and mantle of the Earth to its surface. Volcanic eruptions, geysers, and hot springs, are examples of volcanic processes which release gases and/or particulates into the atmosphere. Eruptions large enough to affect climate occur on average several times per century, and cause cooling (by partially blocking the transmission of solar radiation to the Earth's surface) for a period of a few years. The eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991, the second largest terrestrial eruption of the 20th century[23] (after the 1912 eruption of Novarupta[24]) affected the climate substantially. Global temperatures decreased by about 0.5 °C (0.9 °F). The eruption of Mount Tambora in 1815 caused the Year Without a Summer.[25] Much larger eruptions, known as large igneous provinces, occur only a few times every hundred million years, but may cause global warming and mass extinctions.[26] Volcanoes are also part of the extended carbon cycle. Over very long (geological) time periods, they release carbon dioxide from the Earth's crust and mantle, counteracting the uptake by sedimentary rocks and other geological carbon dioxide sinks. According to the US Geological Survey, however, estimates are that human activities generate more than 130 times the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by volcanoes.[27]

And tell us now what plants will do when the concentration of C02 goes up?

In order for a plant to absorb C02 all the factors have to be right. They can only absorb minimal C02 in drought or flood conditions which seems to be more prevalent with climate change.

And you think climate change does not exist.

                      • There is a high level of confidence that the global average temperature during the last few decades was warmer than any comparable period during the last 400 years. • Present evidence suggests that temperatures at many, but not all, individual locations were higher during the past 25 years than any period of comparable length since A.D. 900.
