Something has been missed:

'Gullible to believe CO2 has had any effect on weather'... the reverse is in fact the truth...

The weather effects CO2.

What effects weather the most?

THE SUN; Solar activity IE solar flares and increased radiation; will trump human activity by many times.

Human activity DOES affect the Climate.

Just that the facts prove C02 LAG climate change by decades... not predict future warming.

Why are there huge trees that are still have not petrified in the arctic?

Where did all the oil and gas come from up there?

We know for certain... the earth for certain had a much higher level of C02 than we have now... and that it was MUCH warmer than it is now.

As one UofA Prof said... no-one can stop the earth C02 levels from rising over the long term... they will get higher to a natural 'equilibrium' because of all the buried carbon on earth.

Any idea where those weather stations were located? Check on that, may surprise you and then you might realize why the measured temperatures were higher. Or how about the data extrapolation to places where the weather stations were not warmer or they do not exist.

BTW,

poking hole is oil/gas formations... miles under the ocean... might not be a smart move.

How did these hydrocarbons get there?

Obviously the earth was very different why these deposits were formed!

Dumping of millions of barrels of oil and releasing how much natural gas...

IRAQ invasion of Kuwait made a much bigger mess. Big spill off Mexico in late 70's also occurred.

I see the natural gas is the pressure behind the oil... it would virtually stop is the natural gas didn't push it up.

Desal plants will have large impact on weather... human activity especially irrigation is releasing mega tonnes of moisture into the air... THIS affects the climate!

This discussion is starting to mirror our society today. NO One is accountable for anything or takes blame it always a finger pointing at someone else

What if no one is to blame for weather? We try to reason it with ocean temps, volcanoes, earthquakes shifting earth's rotational axis, sunspots, human activity, etc. So many variables influence it, or a combination of all. Hard to cope with any kind of change for all of us.
