Friday is the day to get in your Sask crop insurance seeded acreage report. Well after two weeks in sprayer and one trip up above. Did math on our farm and the average is 17% of the total acreage was drown out acreage or not seeded. Didn't believe it was that high till GPS few fields and deducted from total acreage on quarter. What are others finding. One note if we would have received the close to 3 inches that came yesterday 30 miles west of us it would be way higher. No where for it to go.

unbelievable SF3. 17% of your crop is flooded and you have been on here bitching like the worst disaster evr hit your farm. your 83 or even 75% will more then make up for the flooded stuff. Have you been hearing any compaining from southern AB. Many farm's here didn't get seeded and have had 21 inches of rain. They have 4ft by 4ft deep washouts and will take months of earth movers to fix their fields. Now you have moved on to bitchin about statscan. I for one, on this site, am sick and tired of your bitchin and would hate to see if a real disaster had hit your farm.

Vwalk do you not get it yet I report what I see from Kamsack to Regina. Since I am on that road at least 3 times a week or more during the summer. Today I gave what I sent to Sask crop Insurance. Its not about Alberta insurance its seeding intention date for Sask crop insurance. Honest to god man get a life. Note to VWALK frost 2002 and 2004 lost million each year. Still here.

Vwalk one more thing did you get your moneys worth from today's stats Canada. If you did great for you I just hate waste of Money. And today's report was totally useless. Every single one knew that information in April.

Funny thing saskfarmer99 some farmers and business people on here believe its just a small area that's having problems. Hm. Rain makes grain to a point that point was 12 inches ago.

No where in my comments did I ever claim anything otherwise. We sit here with 60 percent seeded with 10-20 percent lost. If you feel you can make a difference, this site is not the correct forum. Those begging for funds now better find alternative sources cause it isn't going to happen. Lucky if you see 25 bucks and it will be linked with crop insurance. For those not in crop insurance, I am not convinced somepne should come to the rescue. Many complain coverage from crop insurance is not adequate. Then the question I have is why does it work for others including our farm.

Did the govt of the day back a few years ago not take out the bad years from the droughts in your area. Hm. No I'm not looking for a frickin handout we will survive. Did it in 02 and 04 and lost millions. But man get a grip and take a drive were getting screwed by the market each day. They phone looking for grain telling farmers to deliver because their is more seeded than most know. Yea been out their sorry their wrong. Back in 2004 when it froze the cool summer the oats processors were stocking up huge on oats giving every excuse why the price should be where its at then when it froze guys didn't even have product to deliver and price sank since they processors were full till next spring. So don't tell me life is fricking a dream. And read the comments we lost 17% that wasn't seeded and probably after this weeks fricking 3 inches in three days another 17%. Its bad out their .

I do agree with you on one thing a farmer must must protect himself and not expect a bail out. Starting with Crop insurance. Then Hail insurance because the way the fricking storms pound down this year that's a plus. Finally the FedProv BS programs.

The name of the game is to protect your ass, not sit on your ass with your tin cup in an outstretched hand expecting your fellow citizens to fill it up. If you haven't been able to save the resources to be self insured, like having a few bins of a variety of grains tucked away for a year such as this, then you had better be purchasing crop and hail insurance. Otherwise, my tolerance doesn't extend too you.

On a lighter note, just so those I've offended can fall asleep like real men, who apparently are influenced by fairy tales of a Sasktel wolf, I believe we should all blame our misfortunes on Brad Wall's policy of drought proofing Saskatchewan!!!

So we take it then that you guys sitting there with your 150 dollar margins will be sending your checks back after your next to nothing production comes in this fall. After all be real men and look after yourselves Agriinstability is not a hand out??
From all of us guys that had lost 3 years of crop to the last flood a few years ago and have all those 0 or next to it margins to average out, to those of you that are just waiting to get those cheques and at the same time phoning the agminister office to not increase the phantom 50 dollar per acre pay out may you loose this and the next 2 crops like we did and then when you see the reality of those 0's plugging into your crop insurance for the nest 10 years and agriinstability for the next 5 years you won't be so smart.
To the guy that told Kevin Hursh to go f himself over the 50 dollar issue the boys from our area the flood zone part 2 we have a bottle of your choice waiting for you to claim.
