Iowa seems to be experiencing similar problems with too much rain. Markets could very interesting.

Forget about the markets - those farmers will be well taken care of.
Not likely, too bad our politicians are all sitting on their hands waiting for the dry weather, so they can ask "whats the problem??"

Although I remember a summer in Iowa in the early 90's that it rained quite often. Crops were amazing but it wasn't 3-4" at a time. Just nice soakers that kept the crop watered.

Flip has your area been declared a disaster area also? We dug a trough and tunnel system in our basement to the new sump we never had before. I think better than Basement Systems system, them guys were swamped with work so we needed to do something, just not sure if have to do along another wall yet. Will find out next rain. House is 46 years old and never had that problem. Drill a hole in the concrete and water shoots up.
No insurance in seepage through home insurance, but if your area is declared a disaster, assistance there may be financial help.
