Iowa seems to be experiencing similar problems with too much rain. Markets could very interesting.

And if they do have problems - do you think their government will have any problems or hesitations to start cutting cheques???

Forget about the markets - those farmers will be well taken care of.

Not likely, too bad our politicians are all sitting on their hands waiting for the dry weather, so they can ask "whats the problem??"

Last post wasn't worded right - I'll try it again.

Although I remember a summer in Iowa in the early 90's that it rained quite often. Crops were amazing but it wasn't 3-4" at a time. Just nice soakers that kept the crop watered.

Sk are you getting all the T-storms? That sounds like hell! We are missing rain since 2/10" Saturday? Water running through field where I was spraying today. Has NEVER happened in 35 years!

Flip has your area been declared a disaster area also? We dug a trough and tunnel system in our basement to the new sump we never had before. I think better than Basement Systems system, them guys were swamped with work so we needed to do something, just not sure if have to do along another wall yet. Will find out next rain. House is 46 years old and never had that problem. Drill a hole in the concrete and water shoots up.
No insurance in seepage through home insurance, but if your area is declared a disaster, assistance there may be financial help.

House is 35 year bi-level max 3' below grade with weeping tile. Sewage pump runs every 10 minutes. Still dry, but hoping nothing stops or power goes out. Water in lawn is now gone! Good luck, I'm hearing of a lot of wet basements. Probably in top 10 disaster RM's.
