OUI was illegal and it allowed stealing of intellectual property. It had to change. The initial meetings had more lawyers than regulators. It was scary. Specific example was allowing clearout in by stealing all the reg data from monsanto to prove it was safe. This was not right.
I never said i, i said i was part of a group.
Oneoff, your anger and bashing of everything and everyone involved does not help anything for anyone's profitability. As Charlie listed so very eloquently and precisely those three groups i think we all know the group you are in. But since you rented your land out you probably don't even farm.
Ontario has big problems financially for growers. How do you grow a few hundred dollars of product on 10,000 dollar and up an acre land? It is a strategy to have the gov pay for farming. It's neither right nor wrong and if that is what the majority of them want, why not. Take the market out of it and line up for your cheque. I don't think most farmers in the west want this though, but like the CWB, there does seem to be a lot that like the socialist concept.
I still find it puzzling Oneoff that you bring not a single idea or concept or even a thought of originality or experience to your own discussion.
Lets narrow this way down Oneoff. Bill C-474. Is it good to move away from a world respected science based regulatory system to one that includes socio economic factors for seed approval. Will Bill C-474 improve your profitability? Should it be embraced or fought against? Does it benefit ALL farmers?
