OUI was illegal and it allowed stealing of intellectual property. It had to change. The initial meetings had more lawyers than regulators. It was scary. Specific example was allowing clearout in by stealing all the reg data from monsanto to prove it was safe. This was not right.

    I never said i, i said i was part of a group.

Oneoff, your anger and bashing of everything and everyone involved does not help anything for anyone's profitability. As Charlie listed so very eloquently and precisely those three groups i think we all know the group you are in. But since you rented your land out you probably don't even farm.

Ontario has big problems financially for growers. How do you grow a few hundred dollars of product on 10,000 dollar and up an acre land? It is a strategy to have the gov pay for farming. It's neither right nor wrong and if that is what the majority of them want, why not. Take the market out of it and line up for your cheque. I don't think most farmers in the west want this though, but like the CWB, there does seem to be a lot that like the socialist concept.

I still find it puzzling Oneoff that you bring not a single idea or concept or even a thought of originality or experience to your own discussion.

Lets narrow this way down Oneoff. Bill C-474. Is it good to move away from a world respected science based regulatory system to one that includes socio economic factors for seed approval. Will Bill C-474 improve your profitability? Should it be embraced or fought against? Does it benefit ALL farmers?

      Choice2U.

The question had to be asked as to why wd9 protests too much.

I'm sure you are capable of weighing the self promoter who is given a JOB and is adequately compensated for their time, yet plays the protest card of their home sacrifice verses the one who accepts a POSITION not based on any reward factor, and stays humbly mute.

Could it be that this person is looking for a bust in the Agriculture Hall of Fame?

I only ask because of the language which goes, "The other side of the coin is what if myself and others in the last few years would not have worked so hard."

I don't see that as a slip for someone who deliberately knows how to bait and hook a farmer.

Thanks a lot for selling farmers out on OUI. Just who says it was illegal; no just wait; I'll bet it was Monsanto and you quickly agreed.

More likely; it was the environmental issue of a collection system for recycling empty containers. As if the Croplife plan was/is perfect. That and your caving in to some lawyers opinion (agreed to by farm "spokespersons ") such as yourself and we lost the first breath of fresh air in the chemical business.

Once again; Your greatest mistake and lasting legacy is that neither you nor anyone else has been able to get two farmers to agree on anything. Thats why it is vitally important to stay at home until that fundamental problem is corrected.

Oneoff, your ignorance of OUI is evident. Educate yourself even just a little bit.

All farmers will never agree on anything so i guess according to you lets just stop all the work on making basic business decisions to at least keep what we have for farmers and sit back navel gazing while every other facet of agriculture ****s us up the ass lobbying for their profitabilty and ensure that not even one farmer is profitable.

Nice plan. Hope you are the farmer, sorry i mean land renter outer with no skin in the game, in Canada that thinks this way.

Come on wd9; enlighten me about OUI. So tell us all who was stealing what? What wasn't right? What intellectual property had to be protected; and just what side you are on?
Those aren't difficult questions for an honest spokesperson.

Safety data is the property of the one who created it. Either create your own or pay for it to import a generic.

Not that difficult for most people to understand.
