Soft White Wheat; CWB vs GFO (Ontario)

    DaleK et el,

I see the CWB is offering 'designated area' growers $4.50/bu Friday (July 30) and the Grain Farmers of Ontario is offering $6.70/bu for 2010 Harvest delivery.... just nipping $7/bu for Harvest 2011!

From quality standards I have seen our Spring white is stricter on quality.

Why are we on the CWB/Cdn prairies at such a discount?

Why doesn't Ontario Wheat have to buy CWB delivery/export licenses to sell... like 'designated area' growers must???

Because Ontario farmers haven't been as willing to bend over as Western farmers? Because we wouldn't shut up and take it?

    I can't think of a better reason.
