    CWB adj factors

Tomorow a.m should be interesting to say the least, I say the borg gives us a huge adj factor just to make sure not too many get in on the higher fpc's from friday.

    Furrow,

The adjustment factor is a farce.

It is a simple tax on those who do not believe in pooling... to cross subsidise the CWB pool.

It is also proof that the pool system lowers cash values of grain.

When the futures values are 30-40/t below the CWB PRO... the basis narrows almost without exception on the rest of the producing world.

Then the PRO drops like a rock... till 'designated area' growers recieve the sub-standard low price for the whole CWB pool year.

If CWB sales dept. are superstar marketers... and know what prices will return growers... there is no excuse for selling unhedged grain in the bottom 1/3rd of the market... and no need for the adjustment factor.

But on the other hand... if the CWB sales dept. is no smarter than the average farmer with an internet service...

Why let folks sell any CWB pool grain???...

Without direct sales instructions for sales pre-contracted by a 'designated area' graingrower... these CWBsales people should not even be blowing their noses!!!

The CWB Board of directors, with the new PPO system... proves the CWB pool system COSTS growers big big value.

It is truly time for change at the CWB!!!

Futures are really up at this time around 40 cents for wheat. Just makes the whole issue that much harder to take.

Let's say that the CWB has 15% of the wheat sold at $215 and todays FlexPro is around $275. Won't the adjustment factor simply be around $9.00/mt.

nothing is simple with the borg and it's protectionist values. There is currently a huge gap between cwb pro's and real world wht values. Right now we are being offered the cheap t-shirt on a Mexican beach and the rest of the world is getting Versachii (sp)?

On Aug 2;...I see the Adj. factor was $1.25-1.28/t.

I don't see why the CWB can't do a minimum price contract that doubles as an 'Act of God' Contract.

The CWB shouldn't be flat pricing big chunks of the 2010-11 crop CWB pool till we get through the frost risk time in any event...

That is another big reason till Oct 1 there should be no adjustmement factor... the CWB is spec pricing... until we get crop in the Bin!

THE CWB SHOULD NOT BE SPEC. PRICING the 2010-11 POOL. THIS is WRONG.
