    No place like home.

This does not happen very often but after a western road swing down to Calgary back through Edmonton - it's good to be home. Some good pockets of crop here and there, most very late. Most crops average at best.
The best looking crops in that tour are around Three Hills to Didsbury, north of Unity and out my backdoor - so far.
South of Unity through Kindersly and west - very wet and patchy.

So the best are around you furrow and it seems from the other side around winkler Manitoba etc. talked to my brother in law who farms some really nice dirt he is guessing 15 for his canola on average this year. flooding claimed lots and that's near Regina.

We have been lucky here so far, but still close to the 25% rule here though for canola. All wht and pea crops are vgood, although moulds are setting in peas/lentils and 25% of the cereals are very late. We could actualy use a good rain within a week, not much here for about the last 10 days. Early peas canola and wht starting to mature.

Ill probably start desiccating peas next Monday if the heat stays on. very few fields of peas all way north also no oats at all up to lake actually not one from Regina to canora along the road. and only 18 quarters of peas in that strip.

Was down at Mossbank getting some Ptarmagin winter wheat seed.
Saw a field of winter wheat done and combines were rolling on lentils about a mile south of the old Ag Pro at Moose Jaw BTW if the city of Moose Jaw fathers and mother don't want super B's down town, put up some danm signs telling us tourists how to find a truck route to hwy 2 south
