    HRS what a night!

HRS was on a Terror last night, Ah only to be a free farmer who could again take part in a run in prices instead we sit on sidelines and watch as our illustrious losers at the CWB probably are filling orders to our special buyers with last winters prices.
Here again Canadian Farmers loose and world wheat farmers win. Wow when will the pain end. News out this morning is that Ukraine canceled some wheat exports and the buyers are now looking to buy from the U.S. Where is Canada in this sentence.
I'm sorry but if you have no good losers running your business you would fire them right from the top dog down to the janitor and either start over or close the door.
But on here we have guys saying their nice guys just doing their job bla bla bla. Gentlemen were loosing millions on incompetence yet the insanity goes on. Lets kill this puppy once and for all.

We've read in many places where the Canadian wheat sales have been lost because our product is over priced. Whether its because of freight terms or quantity etc. The Ukraine managed a sale to Egypt a few months ago, and we hear it was nothing but crap, stones, etc. and was almost inedible.

Does none buy on quality anymore? Obviously not. If the Canadian farmers are losing, and the rest of the world is winning, and buyers are only looking at price, then I guess we should be taking even less for our product? Otherwise why are we growing this?

If the current system is so wrong, then why don 't our grain companies step up to the plate and offer us a better than feed price (3CW), and take out an export permit themselves? Viagra, Cargill and Pioneer all have processing plants in the USA and overseas (WHY not Canada)

Sorry...... The Ukraine and USA have always had a grain agreement of sorts with each other. So long as they are both afraid of Nukes, they will. Hungry people are dangerous, and the USA knew that during the last 60yrs.

OK dogpatch Ill play. Why then in 2004 did the then SWP ship feed wheat from northern Sask buy truck to elevators near Weyburn then ship cars south into the USA. Hm answer buy from farmers for 1.40 a bushel since CWB price was only few cents higher and then resell and blend in their US plants with American wheat and wola flower. your living in a fantasy that the CWB helps you.
Today when you deliver new crop you will receive $1.85 a bushel for your product freight off. How is that you like what their doing. BLA BLA BLA.
The CWB is not once according to my father who has farmed since 1945 ever done anything for the farmer. I have been in this insane game since 1979. Also never have we been the top dog.

i know this won't make friends here
                  but.

you can or could have a basis contract with board. locked in and pull the trigger when the price is right.

                  i am 1/3 basis 2/3 pool
with basis stretching out everywhere else, your probably better off here .

and if you did not take one your still long.

if you wanted to pick your price the opportunity was there.

a lot of talk from US web sites about how much new crop has already been sold.

i know it says nothing about marketing skill of the board, and the early sales were a mistake . mine in canola were too .

but like in 07-08 - being long now is not a bad place to be .
if we are 10% sold and the US is 60% sold , who is better off at this point

Are you going to sign any A series contracts at these prices?
