Canola now that its done flowering the shitty fields still look shitty!

On the drive back to Regina from Canora last night I noticed that the real early canola fields (seeded in April look good) then the first week of may not bad. Fields muddied in from 10 to end of may the shits and June seeding is now in full bloom and are tall and look awesome. Yea if we had a growing season till November. But what one really noticed is the poor fields now that they are done flowering really are short and poor podded. Also wow are fields dirty. Wild oats every where. in Barley HRS DURUM CANOLA and¨Peas wow had to stop and check if field buy edgeley was peas and yes it was just not many.

We went for a drive also yesterday, not to many fields of canola that we seen that we said nice crop.Wheat looks really good, barley is better then average, pea's and lentils are full of disease so there yield is going down rapidly, did see 2 flax crops and they looked good, but the canola sure looks poor, don't know where they figure all this canola is going to come from?

Our canola that is done blooming is very short also...But we are surprised at the podding...looks better than we thought.. Maybe 20 plus?? We grew Dekalb,3275 for yrs.and it always looked poor, and short, but yielded 40 B/A most yrs..Just have to swath it 6 inches off the ground, and hope for no wind...
