    Fert prices

    Is anyone getting any prices on fertilizer for late summer delivery? I have been told to pick my price. Put in an offer for tonnage and price and Viterra will take it or leave it. It is alomost like a target price contract. $350 to $400 is a ball park price I have been hearing for urea.

    One of our two independents supposedly took the big dollars behind door number two and sold the dealership to Not sure yet but that's whats happening.

          I am hearing $365 urea possibly from Cargill this week. They were getting back to me. I think there may be cheaper come Nov as the Russians will dump surplus on the world market after their fall sowing campaign so watch for that possibly. Heard Viterra had glyphosate for $2.80 per L. Cheapest that I have heard yet.

              366.00 for urea that i booked in early july. 330.00 for ROP ESN both paid for in September. Booked all needs for next year didn't think i could go wrong at that.

                  Oh yea VIAGRA has a new system where you put in what you would like to pay and if its picked up you pay that price. Yea what a crock of shit.
                  Anyway
                  46 = 400
                  11 = 600
                  21 = 345
                  potash = 490
                  anhydrous = .34 plus .02 delivery plus .01 for tank.

                    Had the salesman call today, $215/t. 28-0-0. We bought last summer for almost exactly the same price.

                      Viagra is finally figuring out by your bids whether you're a customer that they can afford to do business with. Theres nothing wrong with trying to make some money is there? They probably will factor in the level of service that you've expected in the past. Should someone who uses their agronomists, spreaders, storage options, etc not cost them more than a "Store it at home" and think for ourselves kind of people?

                        Personally I get upset with sales reps that call me about next crop when this crop is still an immense effort from getting in the bin.

                        On second thought, maybe I'm just jealous of the guys who have the means and wherewithal to be able to plan for next year! Thanks for posting the prices - it looks like there are some prudent buys out there.
