CWB got it right for once

Front page story in today's Producer - CWB rep says western Canadian farmers won't likely benefit from the surge in world wheat prices. Well no shit! #1 RS 14.4 initial at local elevator is $2.05, 1 CW durum about $1.58.

My dad says wait. I tell my dad I have been waiting 15 years. It does not sink in.

i think our dads are same person. You probably get the it does'nt matter that you have to wait a year and a half for your money because you getting last years this year anyway. And if you got to much this year now it would only create a tax problem So once your in the swing of things blah blah blah (rolls eyes)

This is a funny funny thing with different dads. Mine hated the CWB since day one he is 82 now and things haven't changed. Why wait for your money its yours not theirs and probably that is the reason we grew canola back in the early 70s. Then lentils and peas later on. Tried the Chick peas but were usually way to wet. So in a nutshell farmers are coming around most on here have fathers who feel like yours soon they will leave this place and your sons will here how you hate the CWB and in time maybe not my life time it will finally end.
        THANK BE TO GOD>

Yep! The way I see it is:
Some people would have been better off if they would have never had a dad:-)

its funny with my dad as he seemed to get everything else right as he went along. Grew lentils, canola, peas years before others ever did and yet he still can't totally grasp the open market concept. It is engrained and they are entrenched in the philosophy. It only changes when the vote structure changes IMO.

What did I read about the directors wanting to eliminate the gov't appointee's from voting a while back?

Timely CWB payments, have saved a lot of farms. Grabbin the cash and running has resulted in a lotta farms goin down the tube. But the options are available, if'n yous wants ta gamble, go fer it take the cash and run. Then whinnnnnn to high heaven when the payments are doled out. Isn't that what farmin in Comedia is all about???????????????

Burbert how do you reckon the wheatboard makes timely payments to save my farm.. It was my money from the start and I don't need you or any socialist wimp to manage it for me.. What a completely moronic statement to make. By the way how are those timely payments workin out for you this year

It is so strange to me that anyone can be happy about timely payments when there are none... burbot we are getting less for our wheat than anywhere on earth... does that not ring a bell????
Are you happy with current pro's?
Are you happy with '09 pmts up to now?
Is the wheat boards current pricing profitable to you?
I don't expect a staight answer from you anyway, just more b/s like every other board supporter on this form.
