Obviously he means me, but oneoff, i thought you said you were out of here and weren't going to post anymore?

WWII was about protecting rights and freedoms. The fight to end the monopoly, not the CWB, is the same. The loss of rights and freedom that needs to be liberated. You can keep your socialist, government knows best, bail me out cuz i'm not smart enough, oppressive business model. I don't want it and will fight hard to get my freedom.

Sorry WD I was being whimsical and some people don't understand I don't really think wd's a deep undercover sleeper agent for 301 main.

For those that don't get it I think WD and I sat and visited a great many moons ago and to WD's credit the explanation of Wd's feelings on the board above is almost dead on what it was then.

WD9 McCormick Deering - antique - the workhorse of agriculture that fed the world. Restoration - difficult, due to lack of parts, particularly the engine.

Now I know why you no longer work the board rooms of agriculture.

Your friends need to do more than a tune up tinker on your humility part. A good friend would have pointed this flaw out long ago.

It's "whoever". Whomever is sometimes substituted because of the mistaken notion that it is required by the preceding preposition.

Now, would a friend have been able to tell you either of these points! (lol)

Nah; I think democracy is about protecting rights and freedoms. Democracy is about nurturing a society so that "Democracy may prevail forever". That comes right of a brass plaque celebrating 75 years of local municipal government. And that statement doesn't seem to mean much nowadays.
As for being a socialist and looking to government to fix all the ails of the world; I would say that no work or deed or policy or plan that can not stand the test of time will be successful for the long term ; unless it can stand solely on its own merits. And government band aid programs; that are implemented solely due to special interest pressure certainly aren't in that category.
And no; I don't rely on government bailouts; and in fact mainly refuse to participate in practically every last one of them.
You have zero chance of getting your freedom on your own. That will require support from the majority of the rest of the members of our democracy that no one (including you) solely control.
After spending your life fighting for what is important to yourself; we all still face more problems and more serious problems than before anyone like you ever came on the scene.
As for collaborators; it is a matter of allegiences; and cooperating and assisting enemy forces. You have already strongly defended Monsanto in this forum; and I have no doubt that you either agree with their agenda; or a part of it. Monsanto's agenda is at odds with farmers best interests; but I doubt that you can see that fact.
With whatever influence you have in the "agricultural industry" its too bad there wasn't a lot more support for a farmers agenda that would have; and should have sustained more than a meager number of township sized farmers.
As for being smart or not so smart; its best to let everyone else pass jugement on that issue if they must. Both those same people; and history accounts will do the same for you as well.
Its all about the basic concepts that your mother should have taught offspring such as yourself. Once missed; those lessons are seldom learned in later life.I don't give standing ovations for jobs poorly done.

                Here's a thought

Democracy is not at all about searching for the perfect dictator.

You should be deeply frustrated about how your one man show can't get your desired results in your little world. Sure sounds like you must feel that democracy isn't working for you today. Perhaps you can glean something from all your cryptic quotes to ease your pain and frustration.
Or maybe its that there are many other ways to look at life other than the WD view of looking after #1; looking after #1 and looking after #1.

It wasn't a farmer vote that gave us the mandatory CWB and it shouldn't be a farmer vote to get rid of it. Oneoff...please explain why your freedom to surpress my right trumps my freedom to sell my own grain. The thing that is legislated is the forcing of farmers to pool their grain. I would hazard to guess that even if your version of "democracy" ended up where more farmers voted for a voluntary board (oh, wait...they did), that government is not forced to make the change. Also, legal battles by "friends of the board" funded with CWB money would tie up/delay the settlement of this issue for years following a voted decision to end this "democracy".
