    Fuel Supply

Anyone hearing rumblings of Diesel being short again? So far we havent needed much - just swathing but I called for a load and the Co-op said they will only bring me 1/4 what i asked for so they dont run out. Apparently some UFA oulets are out already across Alberta.

Well if there is a shortage you can bet your bottom dollar that it is a MANUFACTURED shortage.

    These things just don't happen.

There was a fire in one of the places in Fort Mac - lots of supply issues with everyone - thats what the driver just told me.

Make sure you guys line up supply - sounds like it is going to become an issue!

Husky in Manitoba has told me the expect no
problems for next couple of weeks, unless shortage
expands and they pick up some of the slack.

Lying sons a b's see decent grain prices, soos they wants a piece of the action. So typical in the Comedian Gag sector, it never quits. Stealing lyin and cheatin, market forces at work.

sjc: Our diesel fuel comes from the refineries around Edmonton. The Fort Mac stuff goes by pipeline to the west coast and on to China from what I'm told.

Who does one believe? And where is all this bull**** diesel fuel derived from canola? Don't see ANY around our neck of the woods. I thought that it was supposed to be the answer to a maiden's prayer and the saviour of western Canadian agriculture. And where is the "flexfuel" that my vehicle is capable of burning?...none of that around either.

So much BS flies around that it is hard to make sense of it all.

Politicians promise this and that and companies brag about their new bio-fuel production facilities but NOTHING comes from it.

Its likely all the construction going on in Saskatchewan, plus the harvest rush trying to fill tanks, and still the summer travellers. Who knows, but I figured that some of you would blame someone on the problems.

Being around Edmonton (st Paul) I know the edmonton refineries source product via pipelines from Ft Mac. The driver from Co-op told me the other day that the Regina upgrader uses a lot of product from Ft Mac as well.don't get mad at me - I just want to make sure everyone gets fuel and doesn't have to wait around if this stupid weather ever breaks

I was talking about Burpfart. Maybe the price goes up because they have to go out and find extra drivers to deliver the fuel? Why do we always have to point a finger at someone and figure their just out to screw someone jacking the price?

With the trucking rules the way they are, drivers can't run as many hours as they need. Thus extra drivers, extra costs, but not extra profits. And I if we all add extra storage in our own yards, and filled up before we need it, we would have more time before we ran out. A thousand gallon tank doesn't cut it anymore.
