Grain and Weather and CWB how they blew it a again!

Hm its almost the middle of Sept and guess what the rain keeps coming down. Cupar 3 inches as just one example. Yet all summer the idiots at the CWB have been telling the world man we have a nice crop yes fewer acres were seeded but man we have a decent crop. Last week they were still talking its getting late but don't worry every thing is great. Hm the latest forecast puts west shot out the next 7 days. Now we are then really in mid Sept. Some guys have swath guess what PS poor quality right down the toilet. Then you have the CWB doing sales to SAUDIS and CHINA. YEA wink wink here is our product. Are these guys just so out to lunch that they cant see flood flood flood. Does not equal bin full bin buster. What we are going to have is millions of bushels of low quality grain. And if it freezes Alberta and west Sask will have 45 lb feed wheat. So when will this madness end. One day hopefully farmers in western Canada will have like the USA a John Deere crop tour made up of AG experts who tour crops in every Crop district from Manitoba to Alberta and not the Grey haired crop reporters that we have in Sask that yea my 25 bushel HRS crop looks same as last years 25 BS.

      JULY 06 -

“You would expect this (level of demand) from the Chinese every few years,” Mr. Burnett said. “That’s a significant increase in their imports and over our history, they have been a very valuable market for our wheat in Western Canada.”

The poor growing weather will likely keep China’s wheat from reaching its best quality and yield, but not cause a major production shortfall, he said.

Canada has had its own poor growing conditions this spring, with wet weather leaving the biggest unplanted acreage in 39 years. But the Wheat Board will not have trouble finding enough supply for China unless the weather gets even worse, Mr. Burnett said.

Burbert. Keep supporting the CWB the way you do. Anyone who reads what you say would say to himself " how could I agree with this guy on anything" So you do more damage for the CWB then anyone. Keep up the good work.

I can count a 100,000 acres in this tiny area alone that will make nothing if it freezes in next 2 weeks.. Anything that is close to ready (AKA my durum) is bleached and diseased to a 4 already. Funny thing is its not just the cwb that thinks everything is rosy, but most in this area still believe they are getting a good crop hahaha.. This area is facing its worst dilemna that i ever personally remember. What to do with mountains of green straw , frozen wheat and rotted lentils?? Maybe I will telephoney the good ole boys in Loserpeg and see if they kin give it away fer nuttin eh Burpfart...

Why do farmers pay for weather and crop survellance if no one knows how to use it to make us money.

al scholz was in russia and he knew how bad it was - all Bruce had to do is give him a call and ask how the russian crop was doing.

If they had an idea that russia from the weather screens in winnipeg, they could have sent someone to check it out.

Why do you think the chinese and the saudis wanted a deal on grain back in may/june? Think. Saudis and chinese come over to canada to buy some fine assets like potash and oilsands. They get talking to some mine/refinery operators that just happen to be good old farm boys, that happen to mention the crop is looking shitty. Word gets back to the bosses in saudi and china that the potash and oil is a good buy but grain might be better.

My little story, but I have seen deals made by the guys in the control room of the plants long before the head honchos get the press.

Its why farmers who are buying equipment don't listen to salesman, they talk to the owners and operators of the equipment for the final decision.

And unfortunately, the cwb aka western canadian farmers, got screwed by management once again. And yes, I phoned the cwb and talked to some salesman name Ben about those sales and told him they were bad sales then. Those sales look shitty now.

JDGreen I don't get how these guys are suppose to be world leaders with all surveillance equipment in world and contacts all over the world yet they cant tell its really dry in Russia. Or its so fricking wet in Sask and Man that beavers are building dams in middle of sections of farm land. Or Europe was dry last summer. The BS out of their is getting to get me down. Lets see plane ride over to Moscow plus hotel plus meals plus 1000 day spending plus limo driver and interpreter. Say 20000 my god any farmer could see the problems in a heart beat. But no our CWB is so in touch with our feelings. They blow and blow and blow deals by just being stupid.

The problem is simple.. Most "EMPLOYEES" are to stupid or chickenshit to run their own businesses. Yet we are forced to allow them to run ours .. Great system..
