David is grasping at straws to cover his ass. Tim Ball predicted this 10 months ago. Cool wet summer based on sun spot activity or lack thereof. Enviro Can - their whole system just sucks - period!!

Furrow...your original comments are still totally accurate. He has no clue about weather, period. I will take him to task about his comment on variability. He may be correct about the variability from one year to the next but this year has seen NO variability. It has been consistently wet and cool for 6 months as he said "the jet stream just stayed in the same place". If the weather bounced around, I can see his point about a crap shoot but Enviro Canada misdiagnosed the most consistently wet time period in 500 years. That is NOT variability.

after a major eruption in 1815, the following year was known as the year without a summer in europe.
harvests failed, tenant farmers were evicted because they couldnt pay rent, and starvation was widespread.
wheat prices rose to £22 per ton, more than twice the average wage at the time. that would equate to £20,000 per ton today.(twice the ave wage)

Maybe If our gov't spent some money on weather forecasting (ie. hire People not just buy computers that can't tell the difference between birdshit and a cloud on the horizon) Then Maybe just maybe we wouldn't have to rely on reports out of Kansas on what the weather will like tomorrow in Saskatchewan. Thats my rant for the day.
