Pst off on Weather Went out and Bought something!

OK its Friday so hows your harvesting going of the 2010 bumper crop. HA HA HA.
AH the sweet smell of Frost in the Morning. Here in Regina the Fat lady is singing.
We had close to a inch yesterday as it pored in morning and cleared out over night.
I ran (no drove) up to lake to get the boat and drain water in pipes and clean up. Found a fricking mouse. To all you animal lovers I killed the little bastard.
Neighbor stopped in to look at dryer and Bins set up seems were getting lots of visitors lately usually one or two a day. Even heard through g**** vine that were custom drying lots of guys grain. Note to self have meeting this morning to see if we are. Oh were not because were not till were finished all ours then yes.
Having huge problems with New grain cart with Hydraulic pump. Wet grain big auger no turn. Simple mechanics for some of you. To put PTO on One of our 4x4s $13500. if a wrecker had one in USA or CANADA 8000 But guess what no one has one. So got a used 8320 delivered to yard. Tried it driving around in Mud goes through lots of water. We filled cart with grain and will try to sink it today. IF it stays afloat its a purchase.
Ah love the water, any day at the beach is a better day than at work.

Is that your first grain cart? What make and size? How big is the auger? Manufacturer says it should work? Not many pto on 4wd in Canada.

There is no comparison, the PTO drive is far supperior to the hydraulic drive.

I have a 1082 brent on hydraulics and it works fine. I am sure that it is slower than pto, but I am ok with that.

Have to be carefull that you only open the slide a little bit and let the auger fill up completely before making any adjustments to the flow.

What kind of problems were you having with the hyd drive SF3?

We have a Brent 880 with hydraulics. It took 3-4 minutes to unload 500 bushels of lentils that were 19% moisture the other day. Our PTO tractor could dump it twice as fast, but I see nothing wrong with 3-4 minutes to unload 500 bushels. Last year we ran out STX375 with a PTO but I hated the idea of putting hours on our seeding tractor, so we got a hydraulic kit and put our 9230 Case 4wd on it with singles for tires. Way nices tractor to operate the cart and dump on the go. The hydrualic kit is dual flow (two remotes pumping at once). I like it.

Yea I really do. HA HA.
Were using a new hyd pump with dual lines and mega flow Deere Lots of oil problem is 25 moisture hrs can only open to 1.5 to 2 that's it to unload takes 10 minuets. So bought another toy. Works good. Sunk the cart today in mud could reach over the side and touch the grain from the ground. Yea it was bad. Got out had to unload. Fun times.

wait till the wheat is dry, it'll flow better. or you could play the hand you were dealt and quit complaining

That's a pretty personal question to be asking someone you don't even know.

mines 22 inches, a little slow in tough conditions but it gets the job done

We bought the new 1272 brent cart (not sure on # off top of head), 1200 bus anyway. Has a 22 inch auger and we were doing peas (dry) at 85 bus per minute with hyd pump and 4 times that with pto.

Hyd pump sucks. Talked to manufacturers and there answer was that the hyd pump isnt big enough???? WTF???

Shouldnt even sell them with hyd pump IMO

J M doesnt recommend hyd on 22 inch. the dealer had to weld on the pump mounting bracket, in dry conditions your about half capacity. on the deere the probleme with the hyd is your getting 16-18 gpm per outlet. so the 50 gpm pump on the cart is running about 2/3

The used 8320 left and was replaced with 8520 bigger rubber more weights and better suspension. No 3pt hitch. The cart works awsome. Got stuck yesterday could reach hand over side and touch the grain. All in all a real fun day cant wait for today.
