    Iogen and straw

    Does anyone have a decent contact at the Iogen plant at Prince Albert I could speak with? Any farmers out there deal with them that would want to have a discussion about selling straw to them, what's a fair price, if it's worth it or not, how this awful fall might nip all that in the bud,etc. Give me a call at 306-731-3637 or email lyndsey at fbcpublishing dot com

    Nevermind...sounds like the plant isn't taking anything and is moving. Is that the case?

      I would do the math on how much nutrients and organic matter you are shipping out with your straw and figure out if it's worth doing at all. I know on our farm if we can get the neighbors to drop straw and buy it off them we will because it's cheaper than replacing those nutrients.

        I think you got the cart before the horse. They haven't even decided where there going to build, but, last rumor was back to Birch Hills. Let alone thinking about buying straw. If you still want some contact info I'll ask around for ya.
