Well 15 Days to go after today!

Well by tonight we should reach the half way mark to the harvest of 2010. Thank god its all down hill now or is it just a psychological point that one has to get to. Talked to a few neighbors last night that were harvesting in same area as us last night and their finding same. Cereals OK to excellent on certain fields and Peas and Canola in tank. Average 21 or less and lots of dock-age. Lots of pea fields are abandoned and Geese are having fun. Fields yesterday started to finally firm up a bit to get combines on but running with cart all over field is still not happening. Semis still on grid road or good approach and you still cant go more than three times on a track or your down. Water still running in fields. Swath fields have dried out more. Most also said they didn't realize the amount of acreage that drowned out till they harvested.
Grades well that's another question. Local terminal is grading really hard and funny are we getting down graded from a 2 to a 3 to help the West out with their feed up to a 3, just wondering since our 3 would have easily been a 2 last year. Weather looks shitty on sat and sun then straitens out again, lets hope.
How are the rest of you doing. Have fun and be safe one neighbor has no back window in his tractor HM.

If your wheat looks like a #2, I'd say your doing pretty good. Need a week here to finish wheat and flax.

Craven Area will need about a week for most to be done. Lentils are very ugly and sprouted, canola averaged 30 which is a little less than I expected but good for our area, yellow mustard is a #4 because rime damage and weathered, peas were taken off in early Aug so they are good but did not have many acres.

My feeling is quality is poor. Several barley fields are just sitting until everything else is done, flax does not look to be yeilding well, and I don't know about durum or HRS because I did not grow any.

NW of Edmonton canola good, elevator says haven't seen wheat better than 3, and tomorrow starting barley. Apparently if it's anything close to decent it'll make malt but that remains to be seen.

Holy shit I will be done harvesting before saskfarmer3, I guess I did not plant corner to coroner. Canola only did half of normal, peas maybe half, soft wheat also half to 2 thirds of normal yield. All on an across the total field yield because that is what counts.
