Wow to Shit! Really sums up the crop!

When were combining this year Wow to Shit really sums up how the crop looks. As your watching the combine monitor it goes in HRS say 60 for 100 ft then drops down to 5 to 7 for 200 ft then back up to 40 to 50 then down to 0 then up to 60 and then turn around and do it again. After few fields you turn off the mapping and say lets hope 2011 is better. Every one is finding same peas and canola and lentils really the shits. Some 21 or 15 in Canola. On our farm total production on Canola alone will be close to 90,000 bushels below last two years. HRS Durum Barley all same. Oats up in yield go figure. The neighbor with the thick wheat crop is a seed grower, that was foundation seed on 50 acres yea it did really good. But when I talked to him he agreed with me that the rest of his fields were the shits.
Field have firmed up a bit now can use the cart in field.
Big problem will be if we get a heavy winter snow season and then lots of spring run off I wont seed an acre in 2011. Not a good feeling when the line moves 30 miles south of last fall you know your next. Sort of like the Steer in line at slaughter plant. It looks great were all heading down the hall way then bam the one if front drops and you know at that time your next. Hm not a good feeling. Lets hope its a dry dry dry winter. Be safe and have fun its not worth the stress. SO Maybe for some it wont be much of a thanks Giving but hey were alive and still walking so must be better than dead and decaying. HAPPY THANKS GIVING!!
Note: we should really celebrate in November like the Americans.

I agree. Oct thanksgiving is in the middle of harvest or field work for us.
I wonder if US farmers are done by their thanksgiving? But every one has something positive, so find that and celebrate with family.
How about that weather! The billions of spiders weaving webs everywhere starting two weeks ago, were right predicting this DRY time.
    Happy, as possible, Thanksgiving.
