    Ok, what is happening?

Take a look at canola markets right now. What is this market doing? Last week we were told the system was plugged and no sales going forward. And now? Is there hope that the market is realizing the impact of this years plantings? $11? $12? Sure would be nice to offset some ugly wheat.

    Cotten?

I sold some canola yesterday, you're welcome. Now may be a good time to add to sales.

Where is the 40% of 1&2 wheat?

The market is doing the usual we know you have to sell to pay bills early this fall so we'll play around with basis etc. The guys with no crops will suffer the most because they have to sell everything and more. The hosing got pushed back a little bit more this year because the harvest is later. I hope the pea, mustard canola industries really pay for it next year, even 10 bucks sounds good but not when you have no crop or anything under 25 bushels an acre.

If we had a more responsive and bankable program for those that had crop losses it would help everyone even the ones with a crop because everyone could hold on to crop longer.

Obviously the markets should be way higher, where they will be later who knows.

OK so the grain company's know we have to sell canola at harvest, as a result farmers get taken advantage of ? I have one question can you not shop your basis levels prior to harvest ? I remember being able to sign up in May at -10 to -15 under. for Sept Oct delivery.

The rogers and sprott perfect storm models had better not be based on happenchance of weather disasters around the world affecting crops that rally prices (like Russian drought, a smaller US harvest, excess EU and Canadian rain, and a few others). If this is their strategy, and what they are telling us about, they are a pair of quacks.

I'm waiting for their add on effects which I don't see is reflected in the offered prices just yet. Your slide in the $US has done nothing for us to be rubbing our hands in hope, or congratulating the R&S team.
